Charles O'Brien
Charles O'Brien , born in Engelwood, NJ on February 11, 1927, the son of Charles and Elizabeth O'Brien, who later moved to and lived in Flushing, Queens. He was a veteran of the US Navy and served in the Pacific Theater of World War II aboard the USS Troilus. After his discharge from the service, he later met and married Helen Koehler of Forest Hills, Queens, and later moved to East Meadow, Long Island.
Charles worked in the automotive industry as a parts manager for the former Nash/Rambler dealership of South Ozone Park, NY. He also worked as a parts manager for Ford and AMC dealerships. He was later employed in his retirement for the H2M group in Melville, LI as a maintenance worker until he was 85 years old.
He is survived by his wife Helen, to whom he was married for 63 years. He is also survived by his niece Virginia, her husband, Raymond, and their sons Raymond, Ryan, Robert, and Richie. Charles also leaves behind, his niece Maria Santorello of Lawrence Harbor, NJ, and her daughters Kerry and Colleen. His nephew, Charles Santorello and his wife Kathi of Shirley, NY, their sons, Paul, Charlie, and daughters Kathryn, Margaret, and Holly, his niece Luciell Coletta and her husband Bob, of Poughquoge, NY, their daughter Kathleen, and their sons Robert and Kenny, as well as his niece Elizabeth Santorello of Bloomfield, NJ, and her daughters Samantha and Regina, and her son Brian.
