Obituary for Rev. Francisco E. Campos Sr.

Reverend Francisco Campos Sr. was the visionary leader whom God sent to lead El Tabernaculo, Inc. to a high level of service to people and children in need. Through his bold, principled leadership, El Tabernaculo, Inc. Church has made great strides in spirituality, education, and ministry expansion. Serving in the US since February of 1993, under the direction of God, Rev. Campos brought the church through a period of inspiration and transformation. Rev. Campos willingly admitted that he was a bitten country youth from Ecuador, whom God had blessed tremendously. God blessed him with an amazing combination of tough life experiences, which prepared him for his divine appointment at the church.

His God-directed developmental path prepared him to handle the spiritual side of the church as well as the administrative side. From turns in the corporate world as a founder of a Children’s Charity in Ecuador, to a pastor trainer in a seminar, God’s invisible hand was gently guiding and preparing him.
Pastor Campos had strong ties with community and civic organizations in Latin America. He is the Founder of the “Corporación de Beneficencia El Tabernáculo” (a Beneficial Foundation in Ecuador), the former President of the Board of Directors of the Escuela El Tabernaculo (A school for poor and orphan children).
Under Pastor Campos’ leadership, the congregation purchased 150 acres of land in Latacunga-Ecuador and completed its 1 million dollar complex, which was the first phase of the school. The congregation sold the facility on October of 2008 and built the new phase of the school, a bigger facility a few years ago in Pallatanga-Ecuador.
A self-educated pastor who read lots of books a week and boasted of a big personal library, Pastor Campos has taught at the Tabernaculo School and Seminary, and was in constant demand for church seminars.
He is survived by his wife Eloisa Campos. The church affectionately calls her “Sister Elo”. They were blessed with three children Esther, Francisco Jr and Abraham, and five grandchildren: David, Jeremy, Elizabeth, Deborah and baby Abraham.
