Obituary for Vernon Smith

Vernon entered Queens College in 1970. He immediately joined a very talented Queens College Freshman basketball team and then went on to play for the Queens College Varsity basketball team. Vernon being a prolific scorer and student of the game, his reputation quickly rose throughout the basketball community. He left Queens College prematurely and later returned to graduate and obtain a BA degree. His sense of humor and good heart endeared him to many players and students, which subsequently converted into many life long friends.
