Obituary for Barrington "Barry" Kishundat

Barrington R. Kishundat, 51, died Monday, October 28, 2019 with his family by his side in Houston, TX.

Barrington Kishundat was born on October 2, 1968 in Port Mourant, Guyana to Serena Bal. He moved to the Bronx in New York with his siblings in 1979. They later moved to queens in 1982. Barry spent his childhood with his siblings, cousins, aunts/uncles and grandparents while his Mom and Dad were working to create the “American Dream”. He had a special relationship with everyone in his very tight-knit family. During his teen years, Barry had a passion for cars and learned how to repair car engines on his own. He took pride in caring for his Toyota Supra. One of his favorite pastimes was playing handball at the park on 179th Street near his home in Queens. Barry loved spending time with his family at parties and other events. He was always known as the “life of the party!” In 1990, Barry met Sabrina Ali whom he married in 1993. They moved to Florida in 2004 then on to Texas in 2007 where they settled. Barry spent the remainder of his life as a dedicated, hardworking husband and father to his four beautiful children: Regina, Jessica, Jorja and Barrington Jr. His goal was always to provide his family with everything they needed.

Barrington Kishundat is survived by his wife, Sabrina; his children: Regina, Jessica, Jorja and Barrington Jr.; his mother Serena Bal; his father Wepinchand Bal; his siblings: Rosanna Kishundat, Richmond Kishundat, Vincent Bal and their spouses. Predeceased by his Grandfather David Latcha and Grandmother Jane Latcha.
