I had the privilege of meeting Tom through my former Chief of Police Tom Moore (also a retired Marine) and immediately developed a friendship I will remember for ever. Tom and I exchanges e-mails three or four times a week and I would call him every so often just to talk about nothing in particular. I also made it a point to call Tom every Veteran's Day and thank him for his service, because without men such as him I wouldn't have the freedom to make such a call. I think Tom was surprised the first time I called him on Christmas Eve. I remember he asked why I wasn't home and I told him I was calling friends and family to wish them a happy holiday. After the first one he never sounded surprised again. I will miss my e-mails from Tommy. I will miss my phone conversations with Tommy. It was my privilege and honor to know you! God bless you sir.
